If you want to learn more about the fascinating art and culture of Indonesia, short of travelling there, the following list of books should be helpful. I have read some of these books and used them in my research (see the Bibliography). Books on Indonesian art have become more prevalent here in the United States in the last few years, but are still not too easy to find. These books can be obtained through Amazon.com.
