BHAVANIA ferocious aspect of the Hindu goddess Devi, who represents the active, dynamic principles of feminine power. Bhavani means "giver of life", the power of nature or the source of creative energy.
Armed with a ceremonial dagger (keris), this striking figure was hand carved and painted in the woodcarving village of Sebatu in Bali. Designed to be hung by string and a hook on the wall or from the ceiling, the dimensions are 17 inches high X 9 1/4 inches wide and 5 inches deep and is painted and carved on all sides.
